Wireless Network - what do I need to use it?

You must ensure you have a wireless networking capable laptop PC. Computing and Information Services currently recommend the use of an 802.11b WiFi compatible wireless network adapter which will provide access at 11Mbps. Most new laptops and many PDAs come with WiFi built in or you can by WiFi adapters separately.

Do I need to configure my laptop in any way to access the Wireless Network?

Configuration is minimal - provided wireless networking is enabled on your laptop it should be able to detect the LJMU Wireless Network when you are in range of an access Point. Just connect to the internet via your web browser in the normal way.
